Plants & Flours is a small vegan cafe. They offer a variety of homemade cakes and small pastries, coffee from a local roastery as well as tea and a few cold drinks. The owner also makes individual cakes to order, e.g. for birthdays or weddings.
The cafe is open from Friday to Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm. In the early hours it's likely to be more quiet, especially on Fridays. Typically busy hours are Saturday and Sunday after 3 pm. But crowding levels also depend for example on weather conditions or holidays.
The room is quite small and between the three small tables there's not much space. So people sit quite closely. It can also happen that people come in and order cake or coffee to go.
All the uploaded photos were taken on an early Friday afternoon where it was unusually empty, usually there are at least a few guests.
There's background music playing at a significant volume (similar to people talking at the table next to you). Upon request the volume was reduced.
When all or most of the tables are occupied, the volume of background talking is quite high.
There's also the sound of the coffee machine as occasional background noise.
The cafe is a non-smoking place. It smells mainly of coffee. The owner has a dog that's most of the time in the cafe.
The dog isn't particularly smelly. People with a very sensitive sense of smell may be able to smell the dog.
The cafe is easy to spot. They have a big sign over the door and there are tables in front of the cafe.
There is no reserved parking slot, and the parking situation in the neighborhood is generally difficult.
Subway station and tram station are within a few minutes' walking distance.
There's one step to the door. The door is also quite narrow.
There's one single-cell toilet for all genders. There are no stairs leading to it but the cell is not wheelchair accessible.
