About Aut2Aut

Aut2Aut gUG (haftungsbeschränkt) is an autistic-led nonprofit aiming at providing digital solutions and content from and for autistic people, as well as training and consultating regarding Autistic Accessibility for businesses and public organizations, from the autistic point of view and lived experience.
Aut2Aut centers Autistic Self-determination and Self-Advocacy, is autistic-lead, and is committed to contracting autistic employees and contractors at fair, market-usual rates.
Aut2Aut has pledged to always provide its services and content free and ad-free to autistic people, to make sure that also those of us who have been marginalized by the work-market and social services can still have access without being shut out of premium tiers or subjected to the sensory load caused by ads.
This is why we rely completely on donations and grants. See here to donate or buy our merch.

Founder & CEO
Autistic and Nonbinary Community organizer and veteran activist, I decided to work for the autistic community full time by starting this nonprofit. Typically autistic, my career has been quite eventful, with highlights in Biophysical Chemistry and Product Analytics. Currently my special interests include Autistic Accessibility and Self-Determination, Human Rights and Anti-Colonialism, Nature, my cats, and as always, Star Trek. I never leave home without my ear buds, yellow glasses and a cap.
The prepped.to story flyer. Image text: Little Rey Needed preparation. Rey’s mother realized that Rey needed preparation before going somewhere new, otherwise everything was too surprising and overwhelming. Rey’s mother created little booklets to help Rey prep. Before going to a new place or activity, she created a little children’s book to explain to Rey what will happen at the new place. Before an outing, they’d read the book together. They went over details such as lighting, noise, human load, and how to get the service they came for, and prepped in advance with ear and eye protection, stim toys and scripting. Rey is an adult now, but still needs preparation. Autistic kids grow to be autistic adults. We go places on our own, but still get overwhelmed by surprising conditions and the uncertainty about how to get service. With prepped.to autistic people share and use information to prepare before going to new places. Users upload sensory descriptions, images, videos and sound samples, and explain how to find the place and get service. This can be used by others to prepare before an outing.
