Lighting

There are beams with many small lights attatched to them a few meters above the ground. The lights are facing to many different directions. Close to the entrance there are windows that let in daylight, but when you go deeper into the store there are no windows.

Human Load

Typically the earlier you go, the fewer people there are. The busiest time is around 15-16. Even at the busiest time there is still a lot of space to move around and you are unlikely to bump into people. During the busiest time the line to the chekout might be longer and you might have to wait about 10 minutes for your turn.

Sounds and Loudness

You can hear people talking and some clattering coming from things being moved around. The space is big and open so it echoes and it can get loud when there are a lot of people. There is background music with quite a low volume.

Smells and Smoke

There is mostly a neutral smell. Sometimes it smells like waffles, which they make in the cafe upstairs.

Navigation at Address
When coming from Auguste-Viktoria-Allee, you need to enter the parking lot and walk alongside the building on your right. You will come to the corner of the building and the entrance is around it. If you come from Ollenhauerstraße, there is an entrance to the parking lot next to Kaufland. There is a sign over it that says NochMall among other stores. You need to walk through the parking lot towards Action and then turn right. If you come by car, you can use the parking spots in front of the store or the Kaufland parking lot. The entrance to the store is at ground level, and the whole store is wheelchair accessible. There are stairs and a lift to go upstairs.

How to get service

In NochMall you can shop second hand items, go to the cafe or attend an event or a workshop.

There are shopping baskets at the entrance. There are ones you can carry and ones with wheels that you can pull. You can freely walk around and pick things you want to buy. If you want to buy something bigger like a piece of furniture that you need help moving, you can ask the staff to help you. They also offer a delivery service, which you can ask about from the staff or read more about on the website.

Downstairs you can find furniture, kitchenware, sports equipment, toys and other things for babies and children, electronics, clothes, games, instruments, seasonal decor, paintings and frames and some miscellaneous items. Upstairs there are books, CDs and movies. Upstairs are also the cafe and the workshop space.

If you want to donate things you don't need anymore, you can do so at the donation spot next to the entrance to the parking lot when you come from Auguste-Viktoria-Allee. There is more information about how and what you can donate on the website.

In the cafe, order at the counter.

There are events and workshops happening regularly. There is an event calendar on the website. Many events are free and don't require registration in advance, but it's good to check on the website.

At the checkout you can pay with cash or card. Next to the checkout there is a table with paper you can wrap fragile items with. On the table there is also a recycling bin for used batteries and under the table bins for used plastic, paper and small electronic devices.

Dogs are allowed inside the store if they're on a leash.

Toilets

There is one toilet which is all gender and wheelchair accessible. It's located next to the checkouts on the right side. The toilet has often been out of order for a while though, due to vandalism or for repairs, so it's not a 100% guaranteed that it's always open.
